A LOCAL VISION TAKING ROOT
Feeding neighbors
in need.
Fresh food grown with care.
A harvest shared with our community.
A little more goodness on a neighbor’s table.
An initiative in development, rooted in Maineville, Ohio.
GOOD FOOD. A GENEROUS PURPOSE.
We grow food.
We grow connection.
Everyone deserves the care that goes into a fresh, nourishing meal.
Helpful Harvest is a community food initiative growing from Porchlight Pines Community Farm. Our purpose is simple: grow fresh produce and share it with local households facing food insecurity.
We’re starting close to home, with thoughtful plans, manageable growing goals, and the belief that neighbors can make a meaningful difference for one another.
FROM THE GARDEN TO THE COMMUNITY
A harvest with
somewhere to go.
We’re building a simple, dependable path from growing food to sharing it with our neighbors.
Grow thoughtfully.
Plan seasonal crops, care for the soil, and build a garden around a harvest we can sustain.
HEALTHY SOIL. FRESH POSSIBILITIES.Gather with care.
Prepare to harvest and handle fresh produce with attention to quality, consistency, and practical needs.
A LITTLE OF WHAT’S IN SEASON.Share locally.
Develop community partnerships that help the harvest reach local families through a respectful distribution approach.
NEIGHBORS CARING FOR NEIGHBORS.START SMALL. GROW WITH PURPOSE.
One season.
Many opportunities
to share.
Our working pilot starts with a simple seasonal basket model. These figures describe the goal we’re planning toward.

produce baskets
The annual basket target in our working model.
Planning assumptions are subject to crop yields, resources, site readiness, and distribution partnerships. Food distribution has not begun.
Let the season shape the basket.
We envision a changing mix of seasonal vegetables, with crop selection guided by growing conditions and community needs.
A COMMUNITY EFFORT BEGINS WITH PEOPLE
Bring what
you can grow.
Time. Skills. Connections. Encouragement.
There are many ways to help a good idea take root.
Grow with us
A little time can grow a lot of good.
Future volunteer opportunities may include preparing beds, caring for crops, and helping bring in the harvest. No gardening experience required. Roles and scheduling are still being developed.
Connect the harvest
The right connections bring food closer.
We hope to work with food access groups and other community partners to connect fresh produce with neighbors who need it. Distribution arrangements are still being developed.
Support the roots
Help put a generous idea on solid ground.
The first priorities are soil, water, tools, essential infrastructure, and a financial reserve. Online giving is not open. Charitable status and tax deductibility have not been established.
TAKE THE FIRST STEP
Raise your hand.
Help a neighbor.
We’d love to hear from people and organizations who share the vision of feeding neighbors in need.
Volunteer and growing interest
Community and food access connections
Future support and shared resources
Helpful Harvest is being developed. Submitting interest doesn’t book a volunteer shift or establish a partnership.
Let’s grow this together.
Volunteer and partnership registration will open once program arrangements are ready.

BEFORE THE FIRST HARVEST
A few things
to know.
Is Helpful Harvest distributing food yet?
Helpful Harvest is in development. We’re preparing the growing plan, resources, and community partnerships before opening food distribution. There is no pickup schedule or household application available yet.
Which communities will you serve?
The initiative is taking root in Maineville, Ohio, with a focus on local neighbors. The service area and distribution arrangements will be shaped with community partners before the program opens.
Do families have to work in the garden?
No. Participation in growing and harvesting will be optional for families. The vision is to share fresh produce in a way that respects each household’s circumstances.
How will families be connected with the harvest?
We’re developing a community-partner approach to distribution. Eligibility, referral steps, pickup or delivery arrangements, and any information requirements will be shared once those plans are confirmed.
Can I donate today?
Online donations are not open yet. The legal and funding structure is being developed, and charitable status and tax deductibility have not been established. Future financial and in-kind support opportunities will be shared when arrangements are ready.
How does this connect to Porchlight Pines?
Helpful Harvest is the food-sharing initiative growing from Porchlight Pines Community Farm. It gives the vision of feeding local neighbors its own home, while the wider farm also develops garden learning for children, schools, and families.
